At Peacock Bridge Kennels, our goal is to provide a clean, safe, and low-stress stay for every dog in our care. This agreement explains how our boarding program works, what you can expect from us, and what we need from you to ensure your dog's safety and well-being.
Most of the agreement reflects standard practices in professional boarding environments, along with some important information about health, safety, and day-to-day care.
Please review the agreement before your pet's stay. You'll be asked to sign it either online through your customer portal, or in person at check-in.
We know these documents aren't always the most exciting to read, but they help us avoid confusion and ensure we're all on the same page when it comes to your dog's care.
Peacock Bridge Kennels shall exercise reasonable care for every pet brought to our facility. Our goal is to provide a clean, safe, and low-stress stay for every pet in our care.
This agreement simply explains how our boarding program works and the responsibilities of both the kennel and the pet owner.
By signing this agreement, I confirm that:
I certify that all information provided to the kennel is accurate.
It is my responsibility to keep my contact information and emergency contact information up to date so the kennel can reach me if necessary.
To properly care for my pet, I agree to inform the kennel of any important issues each time my pet boards, including:
Providing accurate information helps the kennel provide the safest care possible.
I understand that boarding a pet involves certain inherent risks that may occasionally occur despite proper supervision and care.
These risks may include:
Stress from being in an unfamiliar environment may also cause previously unknown health conditions to appear in any pet, but is of particular concern for older or medically fragile pets.
Peacock Bridge Kennels uses modern sanitation and air-quality practices to reduce the risk of illness.
However, because dogs today travel and interact with other dogs frequently, respiratory illnesses such as kennel cough are common anywhere dogs gather.
Even vaccinated dogs can occasionally contract respiratory illness in environments where many dogs are present, including boarding kennels. By boarding my dog, I acknowledge and accept this risk.
If the kennel believes my pet requires medical attention, I authorize Peacock Bridge Kennels to obtain veterinary care.
The kennel will attempt to contact me or my emergency contact first. If neither can be reached, I authorize the kennel to make medical decisions on my pet's behalf and I authorize any veterinarian to treat my pet.
I agree to be responsible for all veterinary expenses incurred during or after my pet's stay.
Peacock Bridge Kennels is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items belonging to the owner or the pet.
I grant permission for Peacock Bridge Kennels to use photos or videos of my pet taken during its stay for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
I agree that Peacock Bridge Kennels, its owners, employees, and agents will not be held responsible for injuries, illness, damage, or losses that may occur during my pet's stay, except in cases of gross negligence.
I also accept responsibility for any damage or injury caused by my pet to people, other animals, or property.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with venue in Berks County.
This document represents the entire agreement between the Owner and Peacock Bridge Kennels and may only be changed in writing.
Each time I bring my pet to the kennel, I confirm that this agreement remains in effect and that the information I have provided is accurate.
